The Ten Commandments dan Metallica

Pernah nonton film The Ten Commandments kan? Sebuah epic yang diangkat dari kitab suci, menceritakan tentang bagaimana Musa (Moses) menyelamatkan kaumnya -bangsa Ibrani- dari penindasan Fir'aun (Pharaoh). Kisah tentang Musa diceritakan dalam ketiga kitab suci agama-agama Samawi (Yahudi, Nasrani dan Islam).

Hal yang paling menarik dalam film itu adalah ketika Musa bertemu Syu'aib di Madyan. Musa yang berbangsa Ibrani -keturunan Ishak putra Ibrahim- dan Syu'aib yang keturunan Ismail putra Ibrahim, memiliki keyakinan yang sama yaitu percaya pada Tuhannya Ibrahim. "Your God is My God" begitu Musa berkata pada Syu'aib.

Anyhow, banyak dialog2 dalam film itu yang mengingatkan gw akan lirik sebuah lagu. Bukan lagu gospel atau lagu rohani lainnya, melainkan lagunya Metallica - Creeping Death.
